What is a dialog box and how do I close one it says I have open??.

Every time I go to open a Word document of mine I get the yellow triangle
with the message-The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is ope.
Click OK and then close dialog boxes to continue.
I don't even know what a dialog box is and this extra step is annoying.
Please help.

The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you post to the appropriate Word newsgroup.
