What is a good file size for MPEG video in powerpoint.

Jim

Is there a certain file size that you should not go over for PowerPoint to
play the video properly. Also is there a good bit rate that the MPEG should
be captured at. Thanks.

Size doesn't matter <g>. If you are creating an mpeg file there are
standards for them (resolution, color depth, physical sixing, etc.) that
need to be followed if you want to use them in PPT. (PPT expects that if
you hand it something called an mpeg that it follows these standards.)

What are these standards for video that you mentioned.
Or
Where can i find about these specifications (compression formats, image
size, file size, etc...)

Can you change the application that ppt is using to playing the videos?
Can you add controls to your videos as buttons in ppt (pause, stop, fwd,
rwd, chapters, etc....)

I would rather use director but my clients insist on using ppt 97

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
