What is preventing a PowerPoint file from being opened from Outloo

We have a user base that connects to our network through Citrix Presentation
Server 3.1. These users can use Microsoft Outlook just fine, but when they
try to send a PowerPoint file or open a PowerPoint file from this connection,
it freezes the Citrix Session and locks them out. I have searched the
internet for others with this issue and found very little. Before I uninstall
and re-install Office 2003 in this environment, does anyone know what could
be causing this issue and possibly how to correct it?

All of our Office Applications are 2003.
Server is Windows 2000
2 gb of Ram
Citrix Farm
Concurrent users of Outlook not over 10.

Thanks!

Even if PowerPoint is installed on the same server where Outlook is being
launched from?

At a minimum Powerpoint would have to be installed on the PC that the
file is going to be opened on. Having it on the server is useless.
