What is the best/secure way to log all of my passwords?

I use lots of Post-Its stuck all over my computer hutch at home. My security
method is that my handwriting is all but illegible. :)

I don't post my passwords even if my writing would probably
compete with yours but I'll admit I do keep them in a password
protected file. I have carefully learned that password and I
find that I have to use the file often enough that I have not
forgotten that one password. Another way is to write down the
"hint" (not the common grandma's name security question) that
some sites use to help you when you forget the thing.

I was interested to see the Microsoft fingerprint recognition
gadget in a computer store. It was not very expensive and I
wonder if anyone can relate experiences bad or good?

My husband uses one at home and at work. When his coworkers saw his, they
also ordered some. The only problem that he has is with a system at work
that requires two log-ins. Everything else works as smooth as silk. He did
have an issue with IE 7's beta but has since uninstalled that. It was a
known issue in Beta 2. Since he hasn't installed Beta 3, I can't tell you
whether that works.

I'm tempted to get a print reader myself but sometimes I'm just an
old-fashioned kind of woman. ;-)

Can the print reader be used instead of a password for a
protected file?

I don't know the answer to that. I'm sorry.
