Outlook 2003 got corrupted somehow, maybe because of Outlook Connector.
Anyway, I need to un-install it and re-install it, but I'm afraid of losing
all my emails. It will not allow me to export data, so I need to find the
file it is writing to and save a backup copy of it somehow.

The default file is C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

Are you downloading your mail from the server to a local PST or are your
leving them on the server, using an HTTP account? If the former, then save
the PST. If the latter, there's nothing you need to do because everything
is on the server.

Thank you very much. Can you also tell me what default file Outlook Express
writes to?

While Outlook keeps all of its folders in a single file, Outlook Express
uses a separate file for each folder and another file to keep track of what
folders it has defined. You can see where they're kept with
Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store Folder.
