what is the formula from british pounds to American dollars

I am trying to set up an expense reports that converts pounds to dollars
I need the formula for it can anyone help?

The exchange rate from British Pounds to American dollars is volotile. You
can check the exchange rate at
http://www.oanda.com/convert/fxhistory
right now it is 1.86704. Therefore if your american dollar value is in A1
and you want your result in B1. Enter =A1*1.86704 in cell B1. It may be
better to enter the exchange rate in a cell
