"Office" is a group of individual applications. Which applications are
included in Office depend on the version of Office you buy, but generally
speaking, most of the Office 2003 versions have at least the following
applications:

Word -- for creating text documents
Excel -- spreadsheets
Outlook -- email
PowerPoint -- presentations

Some Office versions have more, and Office Basic, which is sold already
installed on some computers, only has Word, Excel, and Outlook. See
