What is Tracked changes

Dear Sirs,

For some reason when I save a particular Document I get a
pop up box which says: The document being saved contains
tracked changes. Continue with save?

Not sure what this is or how it started. Can anyone give a
brief explanation? I would like to turn it off I think?

It is simply that the document has tracked changed enabled and Word is
telling you. If this has inadvertently toggled on, open the Reviewing
Toolbar and press the Accept All Changes button followed by the Track
Changes command button. This will toggle off track changes.

I expect that what has happened is that at some point you hit Ctl+Sht+E
which is the shortcut for Track Changes.
