I had to reformat hard drive and cannot install 2003 Upgrade. I insalled the
only oldest version I could find that we have--Office & Bookshelf 1994 (came
preinstalled in one of our old computers. I have Office XP Pro 2002 Upgrade
that I tried to install over the oldest one. 2002 Upgrade says it cannot find
required program.

I'm at a loss. We have all legit. software. I just can't get it installed.
Maybe we have (had) another version, but I sure can't find it. 2003 ran great
before I reformatted. Is there some way I can insert Product Keys to
reinstall 2003?

Thank you for your help

You don't have to install a previous qualifying product to qualify for the
upgrade edition. You only have to insert the CD in the drive and direct the
installation program to the drive, when it says it can't find a qualifying
product, so that the installation program can find the files necessary to
qualify the installation.

Office 4.3, which is what I believe you have from 1994 does not qualify for
Office 2002 (XP) installation. What you may try is to use the 2002 Office
upgrade program disk as a qualification program for the 2003 installation.

Qualification products to upgrade to Office 2003 are listed here

used to upgrade "Microsoft Works
Works Suite 2006*, Works Suite 2004, Works Suite 2003, Works Suite 2002,
Works Suite 2001, Works 2000, Works 8.0, Works 7.0, Works 6.0."
