What program is best for databases that perform searches?

I need to set up a database that can allow me to later perform a search that
will look within .doc or .txt files and display a list of files that have
specific key words within the file, but I am not sure which Office program is
better to use (Excel or Access or something else).

For example, If I typed in "tree" in a search field then a list would
populate showing all the files that "tree" appears in.

Thank you for your time,

Instead, download Lookout for free from Microsoft, and run inside
Outlook. Or check out the Google's desktop searching. I also recall
some recent blog articles on how to name Windows' find program do all o
fthis. Use Google to search. Finally, get a copy of grep and use it.
