What program is needed to open open a file ending with .pub?

Vicki

For work, someone has emailed a file I need to open that ends with
..pub. I don't seem to be finding anything on my computer that will open
this file but I need to know what it's going to take to open it so that I can
get these templates open.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Normally that would be Microsoft Publisher. But I am not familiar with what
version that particular extension refers to. Not all versions can open
Publisher files, especially older versions with files created by newer
versions.

Hi Vicki,

The .pub file extension is generally exclusive to the MS Office Publisher program and there are no viewers/apps other than Publisher
that can open them. You may need to ask the person who sent them to you to provide them in another form, such as a PDF or an .MHT
(web page) version if you don't have MS Office Publisher.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the quick answer. I'm afraid you're right. I was hoping I could
take care of this tonight and get these files done but I will get in touch
with the doctor who sent them tomorrow and see if we can get this
straightened out. I was running an older version of Office so I first
thought maybe I was missing something just because it was old. I even
downloaded the trial version for 2003 earlier this evening but still couldn't
get the files open. At this point I think Publisher is the only thing I
"don't" have. :)

Thanks again for your help.

Vicki
