What should I do?

Someone sent me a database that I think was created in
Access 2002, but I only have 97. Aside from upgrading (my
company won't go for it), is there any thing I can do to
open it? Every time I try to open the database, I get
an "Unrecognized database format" message. I asked the
person to save the database as 97, but she says that 2002
does not give her the ability to do that and I am not
familiar enough with 2002 to contradict her.

Tell her to open the database and go to Tools, Database Utilities, Convert
Database, To Access 97 File format.

If she can't, it's possible that the file is a mde, and not a mdb. She
would need to open the original mdb to do this.
