What software to use for master's image which will be shown in a drawing doc ?

Hi,
I'm trying to create some images in paint brush etc,,, for the my masters
but they llose a lot during the resizing. What software should I use to
create those images ???

You can create your images within Visio. Unlike Paint Brush, the Visio
shapes are not made of bit maps and can stretch.

How ? I have tried but it seems to be very difficult. It doesn't provide
much features. If I get a copy from ms visio templates it seems to be so
hard to change it........

Any link ?
