What view controls the display of Updates in PWA?

I have tried modifying the Timesheet / Timesheet, Assignment / Summary and Project / Tasks Work views but none of those affect the Updates display. Specifically, I want WBS to be shown in front of Task Name so that identically named Tasks (e.g. Update Architecture Document) can be diffentiated within a given project.

You cannot modify the view on the Updates page. Sorry.

We were able to Custumize the Published fields
(Tools>Customize>Published Fields...) to include the
Baseline Work(Assignment) in both the Tasks page for the
resource and the Updates page for the PM to compare
Baseline Work vs Work. We also had to get the admin to
modify the view in Web Access so that Baseline work
appears on the Assignment views (Tasks Page and Updates
Page)
I'm not sure if the field you are using for WBS exists at
the assignment level.
Search the list of 'Available Fields' under
Tools>Customize>Published Fields... and see if you can
push the desired field.

Hope this helps.

Dale, Thank you for your reponse. It is unfortunate
that the view for Updates cannot be modified. This now
forces everyone to uniquely name tasks in order to avoid
confusion. I thought that was what WBS was for. Also,
why did Microsoft put in a ton of modifiable views and
then leave off the ONE view that is used MOST OFTEN by
project members? This kind of oversite drives me nuts!

Ron:

Any fields you add as published fields to the timesheet, will show up in the
Updates page as well.

It appears that the WBS field is not available as an assignment field. I suppose that means I am out of luck.

Ha! Actually, you are completely right. The WBS field DID show up, but not in the order I specified. It turns out that the Update view is a default view for which you have no field ordering control through views. The WBS field, once I published it, showed up as the last right-hand column. I could then drag it to where I wanted it and it stays "sticky".
