whats happened to auto text insert

Hoping some clever person out there can help me.
Since many of the e mails I reply to have the same or similar content, I
have previously 'saved sentences' which I inserted into e mail using the
'insert' key.

This facility appears to be no longer available - surley not?? Where should
I be looking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Version of Outlook?
Are you using Word or Outlook as the e-mail editor?

What I do is to create "signatures" with pre-formatted text. Name the
signature something that will relate to the contents.

For instance, Deny might relate to a full page letter to someone why their
loan is turned down. Once you select the signature and insert the text into
your email, you may edit it as appropriate.

Thanks for takingthe time to assist.

We are not using word. - shame. I have managed to sort of the cheat the
system using the signature tool.

That's useful. However, I found that when I choose a signature, it removes
your "proper" signature. ie, say I want to say "best wishes" before I sign
off, when I insert the "best wishes" signature, it removes the signature that
shows my name and details. Is there a way around this? Any ideas? This is
another frustrating thing - why can't they leave something that works alone?

Don't abuse the signature feature for inserting blocks of text. Depending on
your version of Outlook use AutoText or QuickParts instead. These options
have been designed for this purpose.
