whats the best webpage design for a frontpage layout

I`m trying to design a webpage to sell items on and cant find one that I
like, can anyone give me an idea please

This sounds like a really simple question, but it isn't. The questions
needing answers to help you are:

1) Do you have an e-commerce program?
2) Do you have an online transaction processing agent?
3) Are you doing this as a standalone person or as a seller at an existing
site (such as e-Bay)?
4) Do you require a database or simply a page that displays items you
manually place on it?

Look at sites that basically sell the same or similar products that you plan to sell to get ideas.
