What's the marker for PAGE BREAK?

Sylvia

I know ^p is paragraph, and a few others.

Where is there a table of MS Word nonprinting markers?
Or, what's the marker for PAGE BREAK?

Thanks

Hi Sylvia,

For a forced page break, it's ASCII 12. There is none for a soft page break.

Ah, an expert!

This document has many random page breaks.

I looked up ASCII 12 and got \f or &#12, but neither
worked for Search & Replace.

Do you know what will delete all those line breaks?

Thank you,

Syl

Use ^m for manual line break.

To find the special characters, in the Find dialog box click More at the
bottom and then click Special. Depending on the version of Word you are
using you'll see the code listed to the right of the special character. If
you don't see it you can always select it and the code will be displayed in
the Find/Replace text box.

Well! That helpful information means I won't have to ask
this sort of question again. Thank you.

Have a good day. I try phrasing my answers to help people learn so
that don't have to keep asking. I'm glad to hear that I was
successful.
