What's the minimum required for the pivot cache?

Hi David,

My understanding of your requirement is - you want the pivot table updated
each time it was opened, right?

If that was the requirement, then I think the refreshOnLoad attribute of
the pivotCacheDefinition element is what you're looking for. By setting
this attribute to 1 or 0, Excel will or won't refresh data when opening the
file.

Something looks like this:

<pivotCacheDefinition
xmlns="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/spreadsheetml/2006/main"
xmlns:r="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/officeDocument/2006/relationships
" r:id="rId1" refreshOnLoad="1" refreshedBy="Jie Wang"
refreshedDate="40052.64866215278" createdVersion="3" refreshedVersion="3"
minRefreshableVersion="3" recordCount="277">

Note the refreshOnLoad="1".

If this is not what you want, please kindly let me know.

Thanks,
Jie Wang
