when did i read an email???

is there a way to findout when I read a particular email.

I know I can view the header to see when it was sent/received.

Is there anyway to learn when (date/time) of when I actually click on it and
(changed it to read)?????

This is huge, I really hope that someone can help me.

Hi!

It is easy: in the messages list, click to the flag twice (flag will red
after the first click, and flag will "complete" after second click).
After that, in the message view you'll see below the "From" and above
the "To" field:

=====
Follow up
Completed on <date and time here>
=====

You can also add "Modified" column to view this time.

Not possible that I know of - certainly not without coding. What's your
goal?

(Microsoft Outlook)

employee is in trouble, and states that even though he received a email - he
did not open it until after the event. I would like to be able to get
him/her in the clear because I trust their integrity when they say they
didn't open it until afterwards. The Boss wants em' bad, unless I can prove
otherwise.

Any ideas etc,
TIA,

Hi!

Yes, you'll get the time -- the time of the second click. I can
technically explain this issue -- Outlook stores the following
date/time properties for message:

1. Sent time
2. The time of the local message object creation
3. The time of the message delivery
4. The time of the message modification (modification of the read
state don't affect on this time -- oups)
5. The time of reply to the message
6. The time of follow up flag
7. The time of associated reminder

No more.
