My apologies, the subject should read, when I click on an http link in an
email message it doesnt open it up, instead it goes to save the link. I used
to be able to just click on the link and it open up the page. what changed?

Undoubtable the registry changed. See if this fixes it: in IE, click
Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings.
