when I enter 5000 the spreadsheet shows 500. Why?

When I enter the number 5000 It comes up 500. any help out there? Thanks

Look under tools>options>edit and uncheck fixed decimal places

Check Tools>Options>Edit and make sure the Fixed decimal box is unchecked.
