When I hit file, I get error message, can not find path

I just recently loaded Power Point on my home computer. Once Loaded, I
inserted a CD into my "D" drive to open a few files. This was a few days
ago. I closed down, properly, I thought anyway. Now every time that I open
Power Point, on the right hand side there is a pane that shows the files that
were opened in the "D" drive, these files were on the CD, not my hard drive.
Every time that I go to toolbat to hit file, I get a message that says
continue, cancel, try again. I have to hit either or all of these numerous
times for it to clear and for me to continue, very annoying. How come every
time that I open power point this pane to the right opens up when these files
are not even on my hard drive, they're on my "D" drive.

Anxiously waiting on a response...Thanks in advance...Wayne

This is a little over my head...I'm still confused as to why when I uninstall then reinstall PPT, it still is trying to recognize files from this particular CD of PPT files...
