This just started with word. I insert any kind picture or graphic from my
computer or the web and after it is in my document if I scroll up and down
the page its like it erases it. If I only go up half way on the picture it
will only take off that part of the picture. When I click on the picture
again the insert dots apear around it and the picture tool bar appears and if
I click on the color button on the tool bar and pick automatic the picture
comes back. But every time I scroll it goes away. If I don't see the picture
and I print it will print the picture. This was happening in word 2002 so I
downloaded the trial of 2003 and it does the same thing. Can anyone help?

Hi Sundell,
I've got what seems to be the same problem with word 2003 on the
network at the school I teach at. It happens to autoshapes too. If the
graphic is selected at the time, all or part of it disappears except
the selection handles. It's impossible working on graphics when they
are doing this! If you get a solution could you let me know?
I'll let you know if I find it first.

I first set my hardware accelerater down some (right click on the desktop
click settings then advanced then troubleshoot) and that did it but it might
make your computer slow down. Then I updated my display drivers and that did
the trick, I was able to put my hardware accelerater back to full. So it's a
video driver problem. I have an ATI video card and I downloaded their new
catalyst drivers and they work great. Hope this helps.

Hi Sundell,
Thanks for that, I'll pass it on to our network administrator and see
what he can do.
