when I print a document it doesn't print like it is on my screen

I do a document and when it prints it is different than what is showing on my
screen. I did not have this problem before I had to purchase a new one. I
would really like to be able to print my documents like I have them on the
screen. Please help me. Thank you Paula Bush

Purchase a new what? Printer?
You installed the printer as per manu instructions ie didnt just plug it in?
