When I send large file with Outlook . . .

When I send a file with an attachment to someone, Outlook sends many copies
of it to the recipient, clogging their mail box. When this occurs, the small
outlook icon in the active bar changes and when I hold the cursor over it,
it shows "synchronizing folders".

Lengthen the server timeout value on the Advanced tab of your account
properties pages and lengthen the send/receive interval in your Send/Receive
group.
