Certain files I have opened previously will now not open. Word asks for a
converter and then asks for Winsows XP disc with frontpage. I have an XP disc
but it doesn't solve the problem. What is frontpage?
Thanks for your help

Are you sure it isn't asking for an Office XP disk?

FrontPage is HTML-Authoring software.

Frontpage is an HTML editor for creating web pages. Your query does not
seem relevant to this newsgroup, try a MS Word group, but just to clarify,
are you trying to open files in MS Word or in Frontpage?

You can't open just *any* file in Frontpage (it is not a word processor).

In MS Word (Word Processor application) in order to open different file
formats, Word uses file converters, which it is trying to find when it asks
you for the CD (The MS Office suite CD is this instance, at a guess - not
the Windows XP operating system CD).
