when i type the product key why does it say its incorrect?

Do you actually have a product key for Microsoft Office?

Zero vs letter O type problems?

Is it THE real product key? Did you purchase the product from a
reliable source?

Three possible reasons i can think off.

1. You are using the key for Windows or other key instead of the one
that came with the Office cd that you are trying to install.
3. You are misidentifying one or more characters, B vs 8, O vs 0, G vs
6, etc.
4. You bought a bogus version of Office.
