when in "tasks" can I go back and look at previous days?

I am just starting to use "tasks" to manage my "to do" items. Is there a way
to go back and look at a task list from a month ago or a week ago? Mainly, I
would like to have some sort of record as to when I dealt with a specific
issue, item, or problem.
