when music is in first slide following slides do not follow

Dorrie.

Hi. I am using Powerpoint 2003 and have Windows XP.
My powerpoint show having been set up with music and icon showing on first
slide, the following slides do not follow automatically, but without music
the show goes along nicely, all slides following automatically.
Can you please tell me what I am not doing?
