When opening word, a grey box comes up stating Microsoft Word 9.0.

My computer freezes, and I can't get to any of my documents. I try to start
word, and a grey blank box comes up that says Microsoft Word 9.0, then the
computer freezes the program. When I try to CTRL, ALT, DEL it to stop the
program, a message comes up saying system resources are dangerously low, and
i have to restart.
