When opening Word docs, Office uses ppt to open. How to fix?

Whenever I try to open a Word doc fromMy Documents, Office uses PowerPoint
to open it. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Right-click any Word document, properties, Opens With...Click Change... Select
Word.

Reregister Word by using Start | Run and typing in

winword /r

and pressing ENTER. This will silently reregister Word and should sort out
all associations.
