When PowerPoint opens...

Hi - I am using PPT 2003 and have what I think is simple fix because I can't
figure out how to change it (doesn't always happen that way) so...

When PPT opens slide outline and slide layout automatically opens too. How
do I stop this - what it to open to just a blank slide.
