When resizing layout cells, I can reset the boundary but it then .

When I am adding layout cells to a page, I can add layout cells etc and move
them. Occasionally, the page gets into a state where it won't let me resize
or move cells. It allow me to reposition them then it 'bounces back' to the
original position/size. The pages I am working on use a dynamic web template
to provide a header, lefthand column and main body region.

This is one of the reasons why it's really impossible to grow as a web
developer without learning code. Using Layout mode to create tables, one
can construct some incredibly grotesque structures, and it's quite possible
that they become SO convoluted (code-wise) that you can get into places that
can no longer be managed using only design view.

Maybe you could show me your code, and I could try to help, but this sounds
more like a general than a specific question. The only real solution is to
learn how to work with HTML tables, and then you can wave bye-bye to Layout
mode....

Thanks for the insight. I try to keep the table structure really simple - no
more than 3x4. On one occasion, I started afresh and was ok but the problem
started to happen again after a while. The real problem for me was the utter
waste of time it caused because I thought I'd set a cell property incorrectly
- complete lack of MS documentation!

Forget the MS documentation and learn how to use HTML tables. Then you can
just look at the code and see what's wrong.
