When to find a Checked-out project to be able to check back in?

I was working on a project Friday last week which (I believe) I successfully
saved back to Project Server 2007 and I exited from MS Project.

Today (Monday) I'm trying to open the same project file again (File-Open)
and it's listed with a Cache Status showing 'Checkin Pending' and I am only
allowed the option to open this file in a 'Read Only' mode (the 'Read/Write'
option is greyed out).

Under the 'Active Cache Status' (Tools-Local Project Cache-View Status) the
file shows 'Check in Poject' under the 'Action' column and its 'Status' shows
'Ready for Processing'.

The file currently is not listed on PWA since I have (deliberately) not yet
chosen to publish this file because I still have some more work to do on it
before making the resources aware of their tasks.

How do I retrieve (open) this file so that I can SUCCESSFULLY check it back
in and continue working on it further?

Thanks!
Jonathan

Jonathan,

You can try :
Server Settings / Force Check-in Enterprise Objects
If you suspect any queuing issue, go to :
Server Settings / Manage Queue

Hope this helps,

Hi Gérard - Thanks, I in fact went ahead and 'forced the checkin' since I was
happy I had already saved any changes last week.
