Where can I download a Free copyof MS Outlook Express.exe?
This newsgroup is for Outlook, not for Outlook Express. Visit a
newsgroup for Outlook Express. By the way, Outlook Express does NOT use
a file called "MS Outlook Express.exe". Outlook Express' main file is
msimn.exe.
Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer. Go to Microsoft's site to
get IE
(
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1e1550cb-5e5d-48f5-b02b-20b602228de6).
When you run the setup program, choose to install all components.
A long time ago (a couple years) when I did this, the first install only
*refreshes* the components for IE (and OE). You had to run the setup a
second time to get the option to REPLACE the components. After the
install, run Windows Update. The setup program, I believe, will let you
download the entire package to save it locally should you want to keep a
copy rather than having to download its small setup program and have it
do incremental downloads again.
