Where can i download English UK Proofing Tools?

Hello all,

I am having problems with my English UK spell checker on Microsoft Office
Ultimate 2007 in the sense it doesn't work. An error message appears saying:

"Cannot find proofing tools for English (U.K.). If you have the proofing
tools, try installing or re-installing them. Contact your local reseller to
obtain Office Proofing Tools. For more information, see Microsoft Office
Site."

I have downloaded Service Pack 1 and attempted to download various other
ones like hotfix 07, plus a language one, a Word 07 plus others but they say
i either don't have that copy of word on my laptop or that i have already
downloaded it but it doesn't check for English UK spellings!

I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to make this work.

Thanks, Tom

You can't 'download the proofing tools' as they are an integral part of the
Office application.

If present, delete the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0\Override" registry sub key

What you can then try is re-running setup from the original installation
disc and remove the proofing tools. Complete the setup, then run it again
and add the proofing tools again.

It is probably safer to get someone who *is* great with computers to do it
for you, but from Windows Start > Run type regedit and press 'enter'
You will see an Explorer-like dialog (much like that at
http://www.gmayor.com/my_toolbars_are_missing.htm )
In the left window locate the path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing
Tools\1.0\Override and if it is present, select it and press delete.
Quit the registry editor.
If that hasn't fixed it
Get your Office installation CD and let it autorun. As Office is already
installed you should get the option to 'Repair'
Select that option and let setup complete the installation.
If that doesn't fix it, repeat the last step but instead of selecting
'repair' select Add or Remove features, Deselect Proofing Tools (in the
Office Shared Features group). Complete setup, then run setup again and add
the proofing tools.
