Where can I get Microsoft Word and other programs for cheap?

I would like to buy Word and Excel but they are so expensive. I'm a single
mom and I just spent a whole lot of money already on this computer, where can
I go to get the best for my money?

If your child is at or near school age, you may want to consider Office 2003
Students and Teachers Edition which includes both Word and Excel and is
available from stores such as Staples and Amazon.com under $150.

If you need Word but your spreadsheet needs are not too complex you may want
to consider Microsoft Works Suite which includes the full Word {I think
version 2002} and a basic spreadsheet program as part of Works. Likely
price under $100.
