Where can I go for database creation errors

When I did the Startup Wizard and tried to create a new database the
following happened:

1. the first popup says "Creating New Database" and had a status bar and a
cancel button (which I didn't mess with).
2. the second popup says "Error" and "Database creation was unsuccessful and
had an OK button.

While I would like help finding out what I am doing wrong, I found it very
frustrating that the startup wizard didn't help me figure out what was wrong.

Hi Erica

What the version of BCM that you are trying to install is it version 1 or
version 2.The errror message that you stated has to do with MSDE.If its
version 1 remove BCM from add /remove program (If version 2 apart from BCM
you would also have to remove MSDE ) then Go to c:\Program files\MSSQLSERVER
and rename the same to MSSQLSERVEROLD.Then reinstall BCM
