Where did all of the names come from?

Hi,
When I am emailing and start to type in the first letter of an address a
vast number of names appears that are not part of my email address book.
Where are these stored and how can I remove them?

They're all stored in the Most Recently Used list. You can't directly
access the list, but there are ways of controlling it. Find some
suggestions in FAQ article #10 of The Entourage Help Page:

Entourage 2001 does not have the "Clear List" option or the option to
disable the Most Recently Used list, but there is a procedure described on
the page that you can use to delete old entries.
