where did pen/writing feature go in slide presenation?

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have a teacher who is trying to find the pen feature when presenting her slides. She used to be able to write over the projected slide so she could show students how to do an example on the worksheet projected (much like an overhead and overhead pen).

Any ideas?

That feature remains unchanged from prior versions... Either
Control/Right-Click the current slide or use the button that appears in the
lower left corner. Pen options are in the shortcut menu. Command+P also
selects the Pen while running a slide show.
