where do i find create list in Excel

im trying to create a list range and it says click Data on the menu bar, then
click on list then create list, i do not have that and can not find it
anywhere, i have Excel 2000 im doing homework for school and cant go past
this spot! thanks!

This is an XL 2003 feature.

See if this works...type the list that you need. Then highlight, click on
the "name box" and type the list name.

Lists were not introduced until version 2003.
