That import filter is only needed by Word, Excel and Powerpoint 97 or older.
The GIF handling ability for those apps is built into Office, although the GIFIMP32.FLT file is shipped with Office 20000 and in the
Office Supplemental converter pack for Office XP and Office 2003.
