Hi Sam:

Sorry, the MacTopia website has been totally pooched by the upgrade for
Office 2008. It won't work at all at the moment.

You can use PC Word templates.

They are here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=resume&av=TPL000

Instructions for using them in Mac Word are here:
http://word.mvps.org/mac/Using-Windows-Templates.html

If you wait a few days, the MacTopia site ought to be fixed :)

Cheers

See the reply form Beth to another current posts re: resume templates.

I'm afraid the Mactopia web site has been recently [and not completely]
redesigned, so access to Mac-specific templates seems to be somewhat
problematic at the moment.

The Mactopia website is currently totally broken. The Mac Office templates
are not available (someone at MS screwed up!!)

Read these instructions carefully:
http://word.mvps.org/mac/Using-Windows-Templates.html

Then click here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC060915111033.aspx?CategoryID=C

Hey All,

I have a clean and basic Resume Template that I use with Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac. E-mail me at "howie at mac.com" and I will be happy to e-mail the template to you.

Perhaps then, one of you can post it to the web and include a link on this page to that file for other folks seeking this template.

Cheers,

Howie

You now have "different" and allegedly 'greater looking' templates in
Project Gallery.

Your original templates would have been removed if you agreed to remove
Office 2004, with the exception of the ones that you modified. Those should
still be there. However, Word 2008 keeps its templates in a different
folder: you need to move your customised templates to the new folder if you
want to see them in the Project Gallery.

On the other hand, Word 2008 now has the ability to correctly use a template
from ANY location, so you may decide you can't be bothered to move them.

Hope this helps

I am almost positive I have written a resume using Office 2004 before, and now
my templates are gone. Is it possible they were wiped out in an upgrade? I
downloaded the templates on
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/templates.mspx?ttid=32> and saved it in my
templates. It worked beautifully.

Well, I am delighted that it worked for you.

Anyone else having trouble getting Microsoft templates, post in here and
we'll help you out.

To save LOT of time, post the URL to the template you want. Saves us
having to come back and ask you :)

Cheers
