Where do link bars live?

Could someone please tell me where FP2003 keeps its link bars? I guess the
only way to handle copying link bars from one web site to another similar
site is to publish, but I'm curious - I'm trying to make a second site
similar to an existing site, with some details changed, and the best way to
handle it (apart from link bars not working) is to copy over the relevant
bits, make the changes, re-jig the nav scheme, and publish. BUT I can't see
where the link bars are in the original site.

All help and information much appreciated,

TIA,

Dan

You need to publish, you can not copy between server/location, if you want the FP webbot component
to function.

The hidden FP extensions files (manages your site and navigation content) are created or updated on
the destination server during the publishing operation, these files and webbot component can not be
copied between server/location as they are server/site specific.

FYI: When publish to a server without the FP extensions the hidden files are never created and if
you use FTP to upload to FP enabled site via FTP, the hidden files are never updated, and if you
copy your local versions to the server, you corrupt the extensions, they will need to re-installed.

are you using themes? If so, then just apply the same theme to the new
site.
or, in the existing site, make a blank page, with the particular link bars
save it as "template.htm", then in the new site, import "template.htm" from
the old site.

Try it and see, I don't know if it will 'carry over' all the link bars and
things you want in the import process.
