Where does Outlook 2002 store the contact/address book data?

Hi,

I added a hard drive to my system and installed Outlook 2002. I had it on
my older drive, too, which is now a slave in the new system.

I want to copy the data file of my contacts from the slave to the master,
but I can't find them on the old drive.

Can anybody tell me where they are?

Everything in Outlook is stored in a file with the extension of .PST if you
are a home user.

There in the hidden folder <slave>:\Documents and Settings\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook . The file will be called
<something>.pst

Alex,

Your contact data is stored inside of your PST file. That file can stay on
the slave if you wish. When you open Outlook from wherever it is installed,
you can point it to the location of the PST file on the slave or older hard
disk.

One more thing, some people confuse "Contacts" with Outlooks Autocomplete
function. This function will autofill your e-mail address when typing. If
that's what you're looking for e-mail me at [email protected]
and I can explain to you where to find that file and specifically how it
should be named and where it should be placed.

FYI

reply from another ng told me how to do this.

You import outlook.pst.

The reason I couldn't find it was it is a "hidden file," and you have to
turn on the "show hidden file" feature before it shows up in a search.
