Where has office gone?

I had to reload windows 2000 and restored programs from
backup. office is there but says it is not installed. my
disk 1 is scrached and will not load. any ideas?

If you used a standard backup your apps are unlikely to have been
reinstalled, ie in order to recreate your installation you need to have
'cloned' the hd using something like Norton Ghost.
If damaged disk; if retail contact MS, if OEM contact supplier, for
replacement
