Where has Tools/Options gone in Word 2002?

I have just upgraded from Word 2000 to Word 2002. Where is Tools/Options in
Word 2002? Options does not appear in my Tools menu any more. The inbuilt
help file seems to suggest it should still be there - for eample under
"change the security level for macro virus protection" the instructions are
"1. On the Tools menu, click Options", etc. But Options is not there!!!!

Hi, Ric,

It should be there... Is there a Customize item on the Tools menu? If so,
click it; if not, look for View > Toolbars > Customize. In the Customize
dialog, click the Toolbars tab. Select "Menu Bar" and click the Reset
button. Now check for Tools > Options.

Do you possible still have Adaptive Menus enabled? If so, open Customize and
check the box for "Always show full menus."
