Thanks for the advice, but this page is a not recommend page with download
previous SMS send. And isn´t the full file (is only 139 kb.)

I don't rely in that page.

Hi tess,

It appears you can obtain the SR1a installer (in spanish) here:
http://office-2000-sr1.malavida.com/descargar
Running that should download & install the correct SR1a update for your system.

Hi tess,

The Word 2000 SR1a update can (or could previously) be obtained by accessing the appropriate page on the MS website and downloading
it directly, or by downloading a small installer app and using that you download & install only the components of the package you
need. The file I pointed you to is the small installer app for the spanish version - I couldn't find the complete spanish download,
but with any luck the installer app can.

Really Macropod? Recommending a download of a Microsoft file from a
non-microsoft site? Even when hosting any Microsoft file on a non-sactioned
site is considered illegal???

Hi Milly,

If you've got an official MS link to the file location, by all means provide it ...

Hi Milly,

The non-availability of updates isn't what the following links suggest:

Interesting. If you go here:

AB96-795EE656F2A2&displaylang=en>

the offered download is 166kb.

If you change the language to Spanish, the download size changes.

Mistake on the web page, do you think, or does it actually give you a Spanish
language download vs English?

Since Sept 14 2009 MS has pulled the download. Even if you get (which I might add)
the 166 kb download the actual SR1a file will not download. The SR1a file is around
400 mb and it has been pulled from the MS download site. All this was because of the
agreement between MS and Sun concerning the highly contested case which Sun
prevailed as the winner.
The last time I posted about getting the SR1a download it was still available was
about 10 weeks ago.

Any site on the Net that is still offering this SR1a download is open to litigation
and then high penalties

Thanks for the added info, Peter.

If nothing else, 166kb seemed a bit ... surreal.
