Where is appear-and-dim in PP 2007?

I like each line in my presentation to dim when the next one appears which
is easy to do (if limited) in PP 2003 but I can't see an easy way of doing
this in PP 2007.

Am I missing something? How do you set the default animation to be appear
and dim?

Cheers.

It's on the Animations tab -- click Custom Animation to open the same task
pane you're used to seeing in 2003.

I don't know of any way to set this as the default, but you should be able
to set it on the placeholder on the slide layout (View | Slide Master,
select the appropriate slide layout beneath the large slide master
thumbnail).

Appear and dim is an animation scheme in 2003. In 2007, you are going to
need to set up the animations yourself using the Custom Animations task
pane. If I were you, I would do as Echo suggests: View your master slides
using the button on the View tab, then go to the Animation tab. Select the
content placeholder for the master slide, then click Custom Animation. On
the custom animation task pane, click the Add button. You will find a large
number of animation options waiting for you.
