Where do I go to set the control that allows attachments to open
automatically without operator intervention?

Please explain what you are trying to do. do you want to automatically
download images in HTML or do you seriously want to Outlook to automatically
open every attachment that arrives in your inbox?

Make up your mind.

Subject says, "automatically DOWNLOAD".
Body says, "automatically OPEN".

Not the same thing. Attachments don't float around in cyberspace
waiting for you to download them later. They are *in* the e-mail that
you downloaded, so you already downloaded the attachment.

So, you want anyone that sends you an executable to have it
automatically open (execute) on your host? If it is attached then YOU
choose whether or not to open it.
